She now lives near Seattle. Although not a pirate herself, like most pirates she is a terrible swimmer. She can be contacted through Chronicle Books. Susan Snynarski's illustrations have appeared in Rolling Stone, The New Yorker, the Boston Globe, and other periodicals, and are featured in Rolling Stone: The Illustrated Portraits (Chronicle Books). She lives in Oakland, California.
